Shipping & Local Delivery Policy

At Trini Necessities, we are committed to providing a reliable, convenient, and secure delivery experience for our customers. Please review the information below before placing your order.

1. Delivery Coverage

At this time, Trini Necessities does not offer international shipping.

We currently provide local delivery throughout Trinidad and Tobago, subject to service availability and accessibility within your area.

Depending on your location and the nature of your order, delivery may be fulfilled through:

  • Our approved third-party courier service
  • Cash on Delivery (COD)
  • TTPost
  • Other approved local delivery arrangements where applicable

Available delivery methods may vary depending on your delivery address.

2. Courier Delivery

Courier deliveries are fulfilled by an approved third-party delivery provider and are not handled by an in-house Trini Necessities driver.

Delivery generally takes approximately 1–4 working days, depending on your location.

Typical delivery estimates are:

  • Urban and easily accessible areas: approximately 1–2 working days
  • Rural, remote, or extended areas: up to approximately 4 working days

These timeframes are estimates and are not guaranteed. Delays may occasionally occur due to traffic, weather, road conditions, route changes, high delivery volumes, public holidays, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

3. Cash on Delivery (COD)

Cash on Delivery is available for eligible orders and locations.

For COD deliveries, the courier will generally contact you prior to delivery to confirm your availability. On the scheduled delivery day, the driver may also contact you when approaching your location.

As drivers are responsible for multiple deliveries throughout the day, exact delivery times cannot be guaranteed.

Customers are kindly asked to remain available by telephone and to notify the courier as soon as possible if their availability or delivery arrangements change.

4. Location & Accessibility Restrictions

While we aim to provide delivery throughout Trinidad and Tobago, certain locations may require payment in advance before an order can be dispatched.

This may apply where a delivery address presents circumstances such as:

  • Poor or hazardous road conditions
  • Difficult or restricted vehicle access
  • Remote or isolated locations
  • Areas considered unsafe for the delivery driver
  • Other accessibility, operational, or security concerns

Where advance payment is required, the customer will be advised before the order is dispatched.

Payment may be completed through an approved online payment method or online banking/bank transfer.

For the safety of our delivery personnel, Trini Necessities and/or its delivery partners reserve the right to decline Cash on Delivery service to a particular location where reasonable safety or accessibility concerns exist.

5. TTPost Delivery

Customers may also have the option to receive eligible orders through TTPost.

Where TTPost is selected or required, applicable payment and delivery instructions will be provided before the order is dispatched.

TTPost delivery times may differ from our regular courier delivery timeframes and may be affected by TTPost’s own processing, scheduling, service coverage, and delivery procedures.

6. Missed Deliveries

Our courier may attempt delivery up to two times.

If both delivery attempts are unsuccessful due to the customer being unavailable, unreachable, or unable to accept the order, the order may be returned or cancelled.

Customers who repeatedly place orders and fail to accept delivery may have their Cash on Delivery privileges restricted or removed for future purchases.

Additional delivery charges may also apply where a new delivery arrangement is required.

7. Incorrect or Incomplete Delivery Information

Customers are responsible for providing accurate and complete delivery information when placing an order, including:

  • Recipient name
  • Correct delivery address
  • Active telephone number
  • Any relevant directions or delivery instructions

Trini Necessities will not be responsible for delays or failed deliveries resulting from incorrect, incomplete, or outdated information provided by the customer.

If you notice an error in your delivery information after placing an order, please contact us as soon as possible.

8. Order Refusal & Abuse of Cash on Delivery

Customers should only place an order if they genuinely intend to complete the purchase.

Repeatedly ignoring delivery calls or messages, refusing an order without reasonable notice, providing misleading delivery information, or placing orders without the intention of accepting them may result in:

  • Cancellation of the order
  • Restrictions on future orders
  • Removal of Cash on Delivery privileges
  • A requirement to pay in advance for future purchases

These measures help us maintain a reliable delivery service and reduce unnecessary costs for both our business and our delivery partners.

9. Delivery Delays & Circumstances Beyond Our Control

Although we make every reasonable effort to have orders delivered within the estimated timeframe, delays may occasionally occur due to circumstances outside of our control.

These may include severe weather, flooding, traffic disruptions, road closures, vehicle difficulties, courier delays, public holidays, security concerns, or other unforeseen events.

Where possible, we will assist customers with updates regarding their delivery.

10. Changes to This Policy

Trini Necessities reserves the right to update or amend this Shipping & Local Delivery Policy when necessary to reflect changes in our delivery services, operating procedures, service areas, or business requirements.

The most current version of this policy will always be available on our website.
